Your host will be meeting you at the lobby of your hotel or in front of your vacation rental. Since all our expeditions are private, you can choose any time you desire. However, to have the best possible experiences, we recommend the earlier the better. Depending on your hotels/vacation rentals location and your first destination we will pick you up between 05:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. During your check-out process on our website each excursion will have stated the available pickup time options for you to choose. Should you have any additional questions or requests, please do not hesitate to contact us.
All our excursions include private round-trip transportation with a certified driver, fully insured car with a/c and a cooler full of beverages, water, and beer.
We pick up anywhere you are staying in the Riviera Maya. That includes any hotel, vacation rental home, cabaña from Playa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras and Tulum. We will pick you up from your doorstep or main lobby.
For the best possible experience we recommend the following:
● Towel (your hotel/rental will provide them)
● Sandals or flip-flops for the cenotes and snorkeling activities
● Comfortable walking shoes for archaeological sites
● Sunglasses/hat are optional
● Biodegradable sunscreen and/or repellent
● Some money for, extra beverages during lunch, souvenirs, and gratitudes
As you are about to read, we care very much about our ecosystem.
We highly recommend the use of rash guards rather than any kind of sunscreen, since it is a threat to our environment because of its ingredients.
Parks like Xcaret, Xel-ha only allow “biodegradable” lotions, but be please careful. Just because a product states it is biodegradable, it does not mean it is good for the marine life and other eco-systems, like the cenotes.
The main components of most sunscreens are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide; ingredients that will never biodegrade and have the potential to harm coral and sea life. Some also contain mineral oil (petroleum) which has a low solubility rate in water, is slow to biodegrade and is known to be harmful or fatal to some aquatic life and birds.
If you are in a hurry, we have you covered. We took a closer look at the best-rated sunscreens marketed specifically for use on babies and children. The highest rated sunscreen for babies is Babo Botanicals Baby Skin Mineral Sunscreen and for children: Sunology Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Kids, SPF 50.
For adults we recommend a combination of a rash guard and Raw Love All-Natural Mineral Sunscreen SPF 35 Safe for Reefs.
It is quite common that people do not want to snorkel or are not looking for the adrenaline a zip-line might provide. All our activities are optional and there is no problem at all if someone does not want to participate in certain activities. There are always places with shade where you can relax and enjoy watching the others. Please keep in mind, we want to offer you a worry-free experience.
It will be a pleasure for us to introduce you to this amazing activity. Your personal tour guide will take time to explain to you the technique of snorkeling and will practice with you until you feel comfortable. We will never rush you into the water or pressure you. Take this as an opportunity to learn about a new activity which easily can become a passion.
We highly recommend locations like the Turtle Bay or cenotes to start with.
If you consider booking our Whale Shark Quest please make sure you are comfortable with the activity of snorkeling. There is no time to practice during this excursion.
If you own snorkel gear and feel more comfortable with it, feel free to bring your own equipment, but it is not necessary. We provide clean, sanitized and professional snorkel equipment and life jackets.
It is almost IMPOSSIBLE for online weather predictors to keep up with an accurate depiction. Luckily, we have been here years and are acclimatized to the trends and forecasts of this region better than anyone.
If the forecast says rain, rain, rain for your visit DO NOT PANIC.
Unless there is a stationary front hanging over the Caribbean, the only limitation that might occur is a closed beach or port, for safety reasons. In that case, we will contact you the afternoon before your expedition to try to reschedule or cancel your expedition. If your tour is cancelled by the tour operator for any reason, including weather condition, you will receive a full refund or be able to reschedule your tour with no penalty.

The pricing of each excursion is depending on which locations you would like to visit, the combination of the sites and how many travellers are participating. It is important for us to let you know that we operate under a dynamic system in which per guest rates diminish as guest count rises. This is due to the fixed expenses of a private daytrip being pooled by the participants.
You can consult the rates for all our excursions shown on our website during the check-out process, after you’ve selected the date and pickup time of your desired expedition. Should you not find what you are looking for we highly encourage you to contact us. We will happily send you a free, non-binding personalized itinerary with prices.
All tours and airport shuttle services require payment of at least $50 USD per person at time of booking. The balance needs to be settled in full at the beginning of your day with us.
Prices for all service cost depending on negotiable and agreed rates given by the salesperson and/or tour operator upon inquiring and negotiating over the telephone, E-mail or time of booking.
Depending on the type of excursion we include a private tour guide with all certifications according to your Dream day, clean and recent model transportation (fully insured vehicle), a/c, safe driving, fuel, parking, toll roads, all entrance fees, snacks, and a well-stocked cooler with bottled water, beer, soft drinks, non-alcoholic drinks during lunch (depending on your itinerary lunch might not be included).
We would like to clarify that there is a strict policy of NO surprise fees or upselling throughout the day. Everything needed to make the experience excellent is included. Please consider the extra money for souvenirs, extra drinks during lunch and gratitudes.
During your checkout process you are paying a deposit of USD 50.00 per person + credit card surcharge. By default the payment process is set to charge the deposit only.
Should you prefer to pay the total amount by credit card prior to your excursion, please contact us and we will send you a payment link you can use to settle the total balance at your convenience.
The day of your tour you can pay the balance by credit card (credit card surcharge applies) or in cash. We accept MXN PESOS, USD, €uro and ALL CREDIT CARDS.
We’re happy to assist our guests with their cancellation and a full refund or credit with 24 hours notice of cancellation and NO CANCELLATION FEES.
Our guests will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
All cancellations must be done by email and receipt therefore acknowledged by Living Dreams Mexico to be a valid cancellation.
No-shows will be charged the full price.
Please note, our cancellation policy for big groups (10+ guests) is 48 hours since there are higher costs involved and the percentage of NO SHOWS (people not showing up) is higher than average. We offer a 100% refund for cancellations made up to 48 hours prior tour begins. Payments are not refundable within the 48 hours prior tour start.

This part of Mexico is special! It is not that type of Mexico you see in the news. All the places we go are safe. Your personal tour guide is familiar with the area. The van will be locked, anything you leave behind is safe in the car. Although we still suggest not bringing your most valuable necklace.
By law, we are required to have your room number stated in our service order. Many hotels are also asking for this information in order to give us access to their lobby.
Your phone number is needed to get a hold of you in case we have to re-schedule, cancel, or let you know about any changes. It makes our communication much easier if we can call you or chat with you.
We highly recommend to download the application “WhatsApp”. It is a chat application that is free of charge when your phone is connected to WiFi.
